About TOEFL
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test that measures the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities.
Test Format
The TOEFL iBT test consists of four sections:
- Reading (54-72 minutes) - 3-4 passages from academic texts with questions
- Listening (41-57 minutes) - Lectures, classroom discussions and conversations
- Speaking (17 minutes) - 4 tasks to express opinions on familiar topics
- Writing (50 minutes) - 2 tasks: integrated writing and independent writing
Preparation Strategies
